Alas this preview is going to be short. I'm going to be in California next week and will be too busy to blog, so in case I don't make another post before Wednesday, here's what I think will happen.
USA v. Trinidad & Tobago
T&T need a win to stay in the chase for fourth, and maybe third. USA needs two wins (or maybe a win and a draw) to qualify. Reyna is back for the States; who will take care of midfield for the Soca Warriors?
Prediction: USA win.
Mexico v. Costa Rica
A chance to get revenge for the aztecazo four years ago. Costa Rica is probably the team with the best chance to beat Mexico in Azteca, but even with Mexico's current on- and off-field dramas they should be able to win.
Prediction: Mexico win.
Guatemala v. Panama
I said that the final outcome of the Hexagonal will turn on this match, and I still believe that. Panama simply must win this match if they are to have any chance of reaching the playoff. A home win by Guatemala coupled with a loss by Costa Rica throws qualification wide open. Panama has the momentum on their side with their Gold Cup run, but I don't see them returning home with three points.
Prediction: Score draw.
