A waste of two hours

Tonight was the first time I've been able to watch DC United in MLS since the new League season started, and the first time since the CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinal.  Tonight's match against the Chicago Fire was one of the most pathetic offensive displays by DCU in a very long time.  Midfield and attack were totally disjointed, the strikers were static and took too long to get into position, and no one was capable of striking the freaking ball towards goal.  And Marcelo Gallardo wasn't in the lineup.  That certainly explains a lot. 

I thought during the Champions Cup that that tournament was three months too soon for DCU's squad.  Now I think that the MLS season is three months too soon as well.
