Caribbean play-in for Champions League, Leg 1

The play-in series to decide the third Caribbean representative to the CONCACAF Champions League started yesterday as the Puerto Rico Islanders defeated San Juan Jabloteh 1-0 in Bayamón.  Patrice Noel scored the only goal.  Jabloteh host the Islanders in the return leg on 25 May, and the winner of the series will advance to the Champions League qualifying round.

Slowly but inexorably, the Champions League is moving forward...
