Last Friday marked T-60 days to the start of the Champions League. We know the qualifying round and group stage schedules, and we know all but two of the participating teams. We have knowledge of the TV coverage for the competition. However, we don't know the following:
- The playoff dates -- not results -- for group qualifiers among the Honduran and Guatemalan representatives or the sole Nicaraguan qualifier
- The rules and regulations governing the tournament
- The names of any sponsors of the Champions League (Okay, there's at least one: Miller Lite)
- Prize money to be awarded (admittedly we probably won't know this for a while)
CONCACAF has done quite a bit, but there's a lot more to be done before the end of August.
