Maybe CONCACAF will clue us in
So last week CONCACAF held a "Champions League Summit" with the participating teams, and it seems that they've made some progress with regulations, sponsorship, and other logistics. Perhaps they'll clue the rest of us on what kind of progress they've made. Who knows; it could inspire some confidence that CONCACAF might actually pull off this Champions League endeavor.
There is also scheduling issues. The 2008 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup has the Final on August 26, which is the first leg of home and away. Well the Revolution will be in the final if they beat DC United in the semi August 12th. (game is August 12th). They are also scheduled to play Joe Public....Warner's team the same day. I see controversy already.
The Revs will want to play at least on 5 days rest for their starters since they have to travel to T&T. An easy solution is have ?Joe Public play first leg in New England. Warner will want to keep this advantage though.....
