There was another draw of importance to CONCACAF sides in Johannesburg. Next year's Confederations Cup will have the following two groups:
Group A
South Africa
Iraq
New Zealand
Spain
Group B
Italy
Brazil
USA
Egypt
My take: This time Bob Bradley's worst fears came true. What incredibly lopsided groups! Group A is a joke, and it will be very difficult for the USA to get out of Group B. Nevertheless the tournament will be important in order to get used to playing in South Africa during that time of year, which will be useful information for a World Cup in unfamiliar territory.
ON SECOND THOUGHT (11/27, 14:27): Maybe it's not Bradley's worst fears come true. If you want to see how well your team measures up against the strongest national sides in the world, the group that you have been dealt would be a good place to start. I still think the two groups are ridiculously lopsided.
I just hope that everyone is not thinking that the United States team are going to play these three games with atleast 1 point, it'll be shock if they tie or win a game.
U.S.A. win 0 lose 3 tie 0
That's my prediction.
