My comments on CFU Club Rankings

A couple of months ago a guy named "Sage" informed me of a ranking formula that he had developed for Caribbean clubs and asked me to provide some comments.  I've done so at the Puerto Rico Islanders fan forum.  Look for a post titled by "HexagonalMan".  It's in Spanish, but I'll give a translation later if there is sufficient interest.  The ranking has promise, but I had some objections to some parts of the formula.

In case you haven't noticed, I've formed a new category called "Soccermetrics" which will contain statistical/(applied) mathematical analysis related to soccer.  I thought that I was being clever with the term, but alas, someone else has already beaten me to it (close to 70 results on Google).  I have on file a post I was writing on Moneyball and its applications (if any) to soccer; perhaps now would be a good time to finish it.
