The bonus payment saga involving some of the 2006 T&T World Cup players is still dragging on after four years. Five players (Avery John, Kelvin Jack, Atiba Charles, Brent Sancho, and Collin Samuel) took their case to an arbitration panel, which decided in their favor, but the T&TFF filed a motion to nullify the ruling and return the case to the local courts after the Trinidad Guardian leaked details of the arbitration ruling. The players deny being the source of the leak, and the Guardian has yet to fess up to the origin (and probably won't).
I was always under the impression that the entire 2006 team had sued for their share of the bonus money, but it turns out that none of the big stars (Yorke, Latapy, Scotland, Ince et al.) didn't pursue legal action. Why was that? It will be ages before the remaining claimants see a cent of that judgment.
